Recent News
- 2012 Annual Meeting was held on January 12. Successes from 2011 and goals for 2012 were discussed and new officers were elected.
- 12th Night Celebration (the CCHAPS Western Ranch) on January 7 was a great success and lots of fun for all our members. Pictures available on Facebook.
- The 20th Annual Hanging of the Greens and Re-Dedication of the Little Library was a great success with over 100 people attending and beautiful music from the CPA choir and community choir.
- Laura Lynn Hughes, Sylvia Rowland and Emily McAlhany organized and inventoried the Little Library in preparation for the Re-Dedication on Dec. 10.
- CCHAPS Annual Plantation Tour, held October 16, was very successful and over 150 visitors had a great time. A special thank you to all our volunteers.
- Fifty people enjoyed the oyster roast at the Bedon-Lucas House on October 15.
- CCHAPS hosted SCHS oyster roast and Tour of Walterboro Homes on October 29 and 30. Thank you to ALL our volunteers.
- The roof of the Bedon-Lucas House porch as been repaired.
- Jeff Grigg has replaced rotten flooring on the porch of the Bedon-Lucas House.
- Scott Catterton has replaced the wood in the benches in the Little Library Park.
- Work had started on the Little Library restoration project!
- CCHAPS held its Annual Preservation Awards on Thursday, May 12. See pictures under Photo Gallery.
- Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Walterboro were offered by CCHAPS at the Walterboro Antiques, History and Arts Festival on May 14.
- CCHAPS hosted a reception for the Landmark Conference on April 14, 2011.
