About the event

Come one, come all, for a day of living history that will surely amaze and not soon be forgotten!

Join members of Project Arye Lome as they return to the Bedon-Lucas House/Little Library for a day of ongoing interactive sewing demonstrations and historic cooking presentations.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work an original, restored Model 1859 Wilcox & Gibbs chainstitch sewing machine? Guest artisan James Burns will lead a discussion on the history of these magnificent contraptions and will offer hands-on opportunities for the public to experience this “wonder of its day!”

Members of the project will also provide samples of an original 1850s potato chip recipe for the public’s joy and edification. This family-friendly, free event is one you will not want to miss!

This event includes hot dog lunches, bake sale, and books for sale!
